Role Description:

Sales & Business Development Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Client Acquisition:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in Industrial, Commercial, EPC, and Government sectors.
  • Generate leads, schedule client meetings, and deliver technical presentations.
  • Understand client needs, specifications, and project requirements.

Technical & Commercial Responsibilities:

  • Understand SLDs, BOQs, technical specifications, and tender documents.
  • Work with the estimation team to prepare accurate techno-commercial proposals.
  • Support clients with product selection, sizing, and solution engineering.
  • Attend pre-bid, post-bid, and technical clarification meetings.

Business Development

  • Build long-term relationships with consultants, contractors, developers, and OEM partners.
  • Track market trends, competitor activities, and new project announcements.
  • Explore opportunities in MEP works, ELV systems, HVAC, Fire Fighting, and turnkey electrical projects.

Project Coordination:

  • Coordinate internally with design, production, and execution teams for order fulfilment.
  • Ensure smooth communication between client and IPCE at all stages.
  • Support in execution follow-ups, billing, and timely payment collection.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain CRM data, visit reports, enquiry pipelines, and sales forecasts.
  • Prepare MIS reports for management review.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical Engineering (preferred).
  • 27 years of experience in Sales or Business Development in Electrical/MEP industry.
  • Strong understanding of control panels, switchgear, electrical systems, and EPC workflows.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to read SLDs, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Self-driven, result-oriented, and comfortable with field travel.
