Safety Supervisor

A safety supervisor in a fire fighting company is responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing fire safety policies; conducting risk assessments and site inspections; overseeing fire safety equipment maintenance; leading training and drills; and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

responsibilities

• Policy and compliance: Develop and enforce fire safety policies, procedures, and emergency action plans in accordance with regulations and standards like NBC, NFPA, and IS codes.
• Risk assessment and inspection: Conduct regular risk assessments and site inspections to identify hazards, monitor high-risk activities, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Equipment maintenance: Oversee the inspection, testing, and maintenance of all fire safety systems and equipment, including hydrants, sprinklers, extinguishers, alarms, and emergency lighting.
• Training and drills: Lead fire safety training for employees and conduct regular fire drills, evacuation drills, and emergency preparedness simulations to ensure all personnel are prepared to respond.
• Incident management: Investigate fire incidents and near misses to determine the root cause, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Record-keeping: Maintain comprehensive records of safety inspections, audits, training sessions, equipment maintenance, and incident reports for compliance and review.
• Coordination: Liaise with clients, management, and external agencies, including local fire departments, for inspections, emergency preparedness, and safety compliance.
• Supervision: Supervise and evaluate the performance of other safety personnel and ensure that workers consistently follow safety rules, use personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain housekeeping standards.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
