Safety Officer (Offshore, India)

Position: Safety Officer
Location: Offshore Projects – India
Experience: Minimum 7+ Years (Offshore mandatory)
Certifications: NEBOSH IGC (mandatory), additional safety certifications preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Implement and enforce HSE standards on offshore sites as per Indian regulations (DGMS / OISD) and company policies.
• Conduct toolbox talks, site safety inductions, and awareness training for offshore crew.
• Support in the preparation and monitoring of Permit to Work (PTW) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• Carry out daily safety inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments on offshore platforms.
• Ensure correct and consistent use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) by all personnel.
• Report and investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, recommending corrective actions.
• Assist HSE Supervisor/Manager in emergency preparedness, fire drills, and evacuation plans.
• Maintain safety documentation, compliance records, and daily/weekly reports.

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Engineering or Safety.
• 7+ Years offshore experience (oil & gas / marine / EPC projects).
• NEBOSH IGC (mandatory); First Aid, Fire Safety certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of Indian offshore safety regulations (DGMS, OISD, IS codes, Factories Act).
• Strong observation, reporting, and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to offshore working conditions and multicultural teams.

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary

Pay: From ₹60,000.00 per month
