Job Summary:

Ruby on Rails Developer

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, test, and maintain robust applications using
Ruby on Rails
.
Design and implement
RESTful APIs
and integrate third-party services.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and front-end developers to implement new features.
Optimize performance and ensure scalability of applications.
Conduct
code reviews
, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to best coding practices.
Implement
unit and integration testing
using frameworks like RSpec or Minitest.
Participate in
Agile/Scrum
ceremonies and contribute to technical discussions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
4–5 years of proven experience
in
Ruby on Rails
development.
Strong understanding of
MVC architecture
and
object-oriented programming principles
.
Experience with
PostgreSQL/MySQL
and relational database design.
Familiarity with
front-end technologies
such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Experience using
Git
and collaborative development workflows.
Good understanding of
API integration
,
background jobs (Sidekiq/Resque)
, and
testing frameworks
.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience deploying and managing applications on
AWS, Azure, or GCP
.
Familiarity with
Docker
,
CI/CD pipelines
, and
DevOps tools
.
Exposure to
React, Vue.js, or similar front-end frameworks
.
Understanding of
API authentication mechanisms
(OAuth, JWT).
