Role Overview: As a Solution Test Automation Engineer at Ciena, you will play a crucial role in automating test suites for platform-independent packet software, contributing to the advancement and verification of product capabilities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality of features, develop a deep understanding of product architecture, and participate in activities to support Next Generation networks. Key Responsibilities: - Test new features and automate processes to verify product capabilities - Execute Regression testing as needed - Collaborate closely with engineers across teams to maintain feature quality - Acquire in-depth knowledge of product architecture and troubleshoot issues effectively - Coordinate activities with North America test and development teams as required - Review FS and test plan/scripts - Demonstrate expertise in Carrier Ethernet products and quickly adapt to new technologies and concepts - Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in two or more of the following domains: Segment Routing, SR-MPLS, SRv6, LDP, RSVP, EVPN, L3VPN, L2VPN, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, G.8032, OAM (BFD, CFM, EOAM), IGMP, LACP Qualifications Required: - BE/B.Tech/Masters (EE/CS) Degree - Approximately 4-8 years of relevant experience in telecommunications, test, and automation - Hands-on experience with at least 2 of the following Networking Protocols: Segment Routing, SR-MPLS, SRv6, LDP, RSVP, EVPN, L3VPN, L2VPN, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, G.8032, OAM (BFD, CFM, EOAM), IGMP, LACP - Proficiency in Python is a must - Experience with Ixia traffic generators Additional Company Details: Ciena values building an inclusive environment where employees are respected, valued, and heard.
