In this role as a Senior Software Engineer in Network Software Test, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge networking protocols and technologies. Your responsibilities will include deep understanding of Layer 2/3 protocols like BGP, BGP EVPN, ISIS, SR, MPLS, L3VPN, SRv6, and the ability to validate networking functionality and performance through automation. You will collaborate closely with the development team to ensure alignment with customer expectations regarding deployment and user experience needs. Creative problem-solving, troubleshooting skills, multitasking abilities, as well as good documentation and presentation skills are essential for success in this role. To qualify for this position, you should possess a BS/MS in Computer Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent degree. Additionally, you should have 5+ years of hands-on test experience with networking protocols such as OSPF, BGP, ISIS, MPLS, BFD, MLAG, EVPN, VxLAN, SR-MPLS, SRv6. Proficiency in writing high-quality automated test cases using Python is required, along with experience in using traffic generators to develop Data Path and Control Plane Test cases. You will be expected to grow the existing automation framework to support customer use case testing scenarios and cross-feature integrations. Familiarity with Test Harness like Robot framework, Jinja2 templating, knowledge of Network merchant silicon chipsets, and Whitebox platforms are also desired qualifications. Experience with Scale and Performance Testing using simulation for customer networks, familiarity with tools like Jenkins, Git, JIRA, Docker Containers, VMs, and cloud services like AWS, GCP, Azure are advantageous. Previous work experience in a startup or venture-backed company is considered a plus.
