Rotating Equipment Engineer

As a Project Engineer - Mechanical Equipment at Metso, you will be responsible for: - Designing, developing, and optimizing fluid systems. - Performing preliminary designs for the corresponding equipment. - Conducting time and budget planning for the assigned equipment packages. - Specifying the technical requirements for the equipment packages and engineering services of the suppliers, requesting the equipment worldwide, and evaluating the supplier offers. - Conducting technical negotiations with suppliers and preparing the award. - Coordinating the interfaces with other disciplines in international implementation projects. - Managing subcontractors regarding their delivery and performance scope. - Ensuring that the delivery and performance scope meet quality requirements. - Conducting inspections at the manufacturers" plants. - Participating in the preparation of offers and supporting the offer team. - Participating in the measures of Product Safety Management (PSM) in the projects. Qualifications required: - Bachelor's degree, preferably a master's degree in mechanical or process engineering discipline. - Good knowledge in the areas of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. - Professional experience in handling mechanical equipment and industrial projects. - Experience in project work with international project teams is desirable. - Good English skills, both written and spoken; German language is an advantage. - Willingness to travel for inspections and project meetings. - A structured, goal-oriented, reliable, and self-responsible working style.
