Robotics Deployment Intern

As a Robotics Deployment Intern at 10xConstruction.ai, you will have the exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in testing and enhancing AI-powered robotic systems with the aim of revolutionizing the construction industry. This hands-on position will require you to engage in collaborative efforts spanning mechanical design, embedded systems, ROS-based control, and computer vision. Your involvement will encompass conducting real-world experiments, performing data analysis, and ensuring quality assurance, all within the dynamic setting of a rapidly growing startup. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in formulating and implementing experimental protocols for integrated robotic systems, setting up and managing both physical and simulated test environments, gathering, documenting, and evaluating data to measure system performance and reliability, identifying system bugs, recording anomalies, and ensuring data accuracy to uphold quality assurance standards. Additionally, you will be expected to propose engineering enhancements based on experimental results, label datasets for computer vision models as necessary, partake in the design and examination of statistically significant experiments (DOE), and generate comprehensive technical documentation and test reports. To excel in this role, you should either be pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Robotics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, possess a solid academic background coupled with hands-on experience in robotics or automation, demonstrate familiarity with embedded systems like Arduino and Raspberry Pi, as well as have proficiency in ROS and/or Python/C++. Attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and a basic grasp of Design of Experiments (DOE) are highly desirable attributes. The internship requires a full-time commitment for a duration of 6 months, with a preference for immediate joiners.
