Job Title: Merchandiser Reports to: Head Planning, Styli GCC Location: Bangalore, India Key Responsibilities: 1. Forecasting and Demand Planning: Analyze historical sales data and market trends to develop accurate demand forecasts for fashion products. Collaborate with merchandising and buying teams to align inventory levels with anticipated demand. 2. Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and turnover rates to optimize inventory and reduce excess stock. Manage seasonal and promotional inventory planning to ensure product availability during peak periods. 3. Sales Analysis: Conduct regular analysis of sales performance, identifying top-selling items, slow movers, and trends. Prepare detailed reports on sales metrics, inventory status, and recommendations for improvement. 4. Assortment Planning: Assist in developing seasonal product assortments based on sales analysis, market research, and customer insights. Ensure a balanced product mix that aligns with brand strategy and customer preferences. 5. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, marketing, and logistics, to ensure alignment on product launches and promotional strategies. Communicate effectively with suppliers to manage lead times and stock availability. 6. Pricing Strategy: Collaborate with the pricing team to analyze competitive pricing and implement effective pricing strategies. Monitor markdowns and promotions, ensuring they align with overall business goals. 7. Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory turnover, sales growth, and gross margin. Identify areas for improvement and present actionable insights to stakeholders. Qualifications: • Education: Bachelors degree in Fashion Merchandising, Engineering or MBA. Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in OTB management, Assortment Planning, Preseason and In-season planning is a must Should be able to devise promotion strategies for the category to boost sales and carry out requisite pricing to achieve targets, manage ageing inventory within agreed markdown budgets Ability to monitor and manage the product- lifecycle of the category and maintain healthy sell through rates and stock covers • Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools. Familiarity with eCommerce platforms and inventory management systems. Excellent organizational and project management abilities. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Personal Attributes : Ability to work in a fast paced start up environment and be able to take decisions with limited resources is essential to succeed in this role Ability to extract, analyze, interpret and comprehend data from various data sources Good communication and relationship management skills Detail-oriented and results-driven. o Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
