Role Overview: - You will be part of a dedicated team at Methodist Medical Center providing care to patients with varying levels of acuity in the emergency room. - The emergency department consists of a 38-bed unit with specialized trauma and behavioral rooms, ensuring efficient delivery of urgent care. - Prioritizing teamwork and support, you will work closely with board-certified physicians and local EMS providers in a challenging healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities: - Assess and address the physiological and psycho-social needs of each patient under your care. - Develop individualized nursing care plans with measurable goals aligned with medical plans and accepted standards. - Make appropriate assignments to team members based on patient acuity and maintain accountability for their actions and compliance with hospital policies and procedures. - Participate in orientation programs for new personnel and facilitate learning experiences for nursing students. - Regularly document and revise patient care plans with a focus on infection control measures for patient, staff, and visitor safety. Qualifications Required: - Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a solid understanding of the nursing process, management principles, and current healthcare developments. - Knowledge of hospital functions, policies, and regulations related to nursing service. - Experience in emergency care or a related specialty preferred. - Hold a current Registered Nurse license from the Tennessee Board of Nursing. - Certification in life support programs such as CPR, ACLS, and NALS required or scheduled for training as per department guidelines.,
