Description
As the Risk Based Inspection Team Lead at SBM Offshore in Bangalore, your role is crucial in ensuring the safe and continuous operation of assets by leading the Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) team for multiple FPSOs during the Operations Readiness phase. You will be responsible for identifying potential risks, assessing asset conditions, and implementing strategies to mitigate risks while meeting safety, operational, and regulatory standards. **Responsibilities:** - Oversee and manage the RBI team, ensuring all integrity management activities for Piping, Pressure Vessels, Naval, and Mooring are identified, justified, and documented in FPSOs documentation. - Develop and implement tailored RBI methodologies for the construction yard, including risk assessment procedures and inspection strategies. - Deliver Piping, Pressure Vessels, Naval, and Mooring RBI solutions within committed dates and allocated budgets. - Ensure all inspection activities comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. - Review Operational Performance Standards against RBI needs and ensure inspection plans are compliant. - Prepare RBI Contractors" Request for Quotations, Purchase Requests, and review related invoices. - Coordinate with external contractors and vendors to ensure necessary resources are available for integrity activities. - Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians in RBI methodologies. - Continuously update the RBI program based on new data, technological advancements, and regulatory changes. - Support incident investigations and root cause analyses. - Communicate with Clients and coordinate Project Operation Readiness Integrity Engineers. **Qualification Required:** - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field. Master's degree recommended. - Certification in relevant RBI methodologies (e.g., API 580/581) or 15 years practical experience in managing RBI methodologies. **Experience Required:** - Minimum 10 years of experience in Risk-based Inspection. - Oil & Gas experience with a strong technical background, FPSO experience preferred. - Expertise in Inspection & Integrity scope for FPSO. - Experience in budget and planning control. - Proven team management experience. - Knowledge of RBI methodology and Classification Society Rules for FPSOs. - Experience in risk assessment, inspection, and incident investigation. - Offshore experience and FPSO turn-key project experience are advantageous.
