Job Description

Rigging and Animation Artist (3ds Max)

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Rigging and Animation Artist to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for bringing our characters and assets to life using Autodesk 3ds Max, from creating robust control rigs to producing high-quality animations. This role requires a strong understanding of both the technical and artistic aspects of 3D production.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain high-quality character and mechanical rigs within 3ds Max.
Develop robust CAT RIG/Biped/bone structures, skinning, and weight painting for organic models to ensure realistic deformation.
Animate characters, props, and environments based on storyboards, animatics, and creative direction.
Implement animation principles such as timing, spacing, and weight to create fluid and compelling motion.
Develop facial rigs for characters, ensuring a full range of expressions and mouth movements.
Collaborate with 3D modelers, texture artists, and other animators to ensure seamless integration within the production pipeline.
Stay up-to-date on the latest rigging and animation techniques and industry trends.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Rigging Artist, 3D Animator, or similar role with a strong portfolio or demo reel.
Solid understanding of human and animal anatomy, locomotion, and physics.
Extensive knowledge of rigging techniques, including skinning, controllers, and constraints.
Strong experience in keyframe animation, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
Background in another 3D software (e.g., Blender, Maya) is a plus.
