Job Description

Load Handling:
Attaching and detaching loads to cranes, hoists, or other lifting equipment using cables, slings, and straps.
Equipment Assembly:
Constructing, setting up, and repairing rigging systems, including pulleys, blocks, and other lifting tackle.
Safety and Inspection:
Inspecting rigging equipment to ensure its safety and reliability, and testing it before moving a load.
Communication:
Using hand and verbal signals to direct the crane operators and other workers to ensure the safe and precise movement of loads.
Load Manipulation:
Maneuvering suspended loads over, under, and around obstacles, often in tight or confined spaces.
Equipment Maintenance:
Dismantling, storing, and maintaining rigging equipment after use.
