Minimum: 8th or 10th pass
ITI or vocational training in rigging, mechanical, or fitting (preferred)
Basic Safety Training (firefighting, first aid, personal survival techniques, etc.)
Physically fit and medically cleared for rigging work
Certifications:
Rigging & Slinging Certificate (from DG Shipping approved training institutes or yard-certified programs)
STCW (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping) – useful for offshore rigging jobs
HSE certification – required in many shipyards
