About Us :

Launched in June 2020, branchX is India's first neo-banking solution, enabling empathetic banking for migrant communities. Our vision is to transform the way underbanked communities manage money with a hand-holding grid aided by intelligent technologies. Headquartered in Navi-Mumbai, we are a 100+ member impact-driven team with offices in Noida, Bangalore, Kochi, Tamil Nadu, Kolkata and other locations.

Where do you come into the picture?

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rigger to drive the design and delivery of scalable a specialist who creates the digital framework (skeleton, controls, and deformations) that allows 3D characters and objects to be animate . This is a role requiring strong technical and team management skills in Agile/Scrum environments.

What would a day in your life @ branchX look like?

Our ideal Rigger will have :

• Key Responsibilities:

• Create complex, flexible rigs for characters, creatures, and props.
• Collaborate closely with animators to ensure rigs are intuitive and support high-quality animation.
• Troubleshoot and fix rig-related issues quickly.
• Optimize rig performance and compatibility for game engines or renderers.
• Setting up Controls: Designing and implementing controls (often through a user interface) that animators will use to manipulate the skeleton and deform the model.
• Creating Facial Systems: Developing systems for facial expressions, allowing animators to create realistic and varied emotions.
• Ensuring Deformable Models: Testing and refining the rigging to ensure the model deforms naturally and realistically during animation.
• Collaboration: Working closely with animators to understand their needs and ensure the rig meets their requirements.

Desirables:

• Proficiency in rigging tools in Maya, Blender, or equivalent.
• Deep understanding of human and creature anatomy.
• Experience with scripting (Python/MEL) is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Problem-solving skills: can be complex, and riggers need to be able to troubleshoot issues and find creative solutions.
• Good communication skills: need to be able to communicate effectively with animators and other team members.
• Attention to detail: requires precision and attention to detail to ensure that the model moves correctly.
