As a Deputy Manager/Manager at Exide Energy Solutions Limited, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and servers. Your responsibilities will include installing hardware and software, continuously improving and ensuring the smooth operation of backend servers/systems for applications hosted on Data Center/Cloud Infrastructure, and actively resolving problems to minimize work disruptions within the department. **Job Overview:** - Configuration and installation of various servers (Physical and Virtual), SAN Storage, and Backup applications - Creation of Users, Groups, Mailboxes on O365 console - Management of Windows and RHEL Servers (File, FTP, Print, etc.), SAN Switch, and Storage - Monitoring performance to ensure system availability and reliability - Providing Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues - Vendor Management **Role & Responsibilities:** - Configuring servers, administering operating systems, hardening, load balancers, firewall management, including user and process management, resource contention, preventive maintenance, and updates/patches management - Leading the Data Center On-Prem and Cloud Servers - Conducting periodic health checks, troubleshooting problems, and implementing rectification measures - Installing and upgrading computer components and software, managing virtual servers, and integrating automation processes - Managing Active Directory - Performing backups of servers, databases, and recovery - Proactively monitoring client updates using Intune - Hands-on experience with Virtualization, preferably VMWare - Creating LUNs and assigning them to respective servers as needed - Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux operating systems **Internal/External Integration Points:** - Liaising with internal stakeholders from Process, R&D, SC, Quality, Equipment, Sales & Marketing, and other functions - Collaborating with suppliers for IT Plant Machinery requirements and vendor development **Education:** - Bachelor's degree in IT/CS, BSc Comp Sci, IT, or equivalent **Location:** - Bangalore Rural, Karnataka, India **Experience:** - 7 to 9 years of experience in Server Administration for both Windows and Linux systems **Desired Skills:** **Functional:** - Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills - Ability to conduct research on networking issues and products - Effective presentation of ideas in user-friendly language - Excellent task prioritization in high-pressure environments - Strong customer service orientation - Experience working in a collaborative team environment **Behavioral:** - Excellent interpersonal communication, logical analysis, negotiation, and decision-making skills - Strong planning, organizing, problem-solving, stress management, and time management abilities,

As a member of our team at Ameriprise India LLP, you will be responsible for maintaining the end-to-end life-cycle management of RHEL servers. This includes tasks such as provisioning, installation, software packaging, patching, planned & unplanned maintenance, service configuration, and integration with our monitoring platform. Your role will involve developing and continuously enhancing tools, utilities, reports, and frameworks to support production support, operational processes, and re-engineering efforts. Collaboration with Cloud Engineering will be essential to enable the development of end-to-end automated platforms. You will also play a crucial role in maintaining the health and hygiene of Linux servers while contributing towards API gateway-related deliverables and moving towards server-less infrastructure. In this position, you should be able to handle independent assignments related to troubleshooting, problem diagnosis, and resolution for one or more technologies. Proactive monitoring of stability and performance within your area of expertise will be required to drive appropriate corrective actions before incidents occur. You will work closely with team members and contractors/vendors to prevent or resolve incidents/problems efficiently. Additionally, recommending, deploying, and documenting strategies and solutions based on comprehensive analysis will be part of your responsibilities. Participation in the continual refinement of processes, policies, and best practices to ensure optimal performance and availability of technologies is crucial. Continuous professional development is encouraged, and you will be expected to stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies. Your role will also involve contributing to the development of operational reporting, including health check reports, capacity/performance reports, and incident/problem reports.
