Job Description

MPS is hiring for RSE / JEO (Work From Office) Chennai

Role & responsibilities

As a Reviewer Selection Editor, your main responsibility will be to meticulously solicit qualified reviewers for the submitted manuscripts. Your tasks will include:

Identifying Reviewer Expertise: Strategically identifying and selecting suitable reviewers with expertise aligned to the submitted manuscript's subject matter.
Communication: Facilitating smooth communication between authors, reviewers, and our editorial teams.
Process Coordination: Collaborating with colleagues to manage timelines, ensuring efficient and timely reviews.
Quality Control: Upholding the quality of the review process by selecting credible and unbiased reviewers.

managing the end-to-end manuscript workflow

Manage manuscript submissions via online editorial systems (e.g., Scholar One, Editorial Manager).
Perform technical checks (formatting, ethical compliance, plagiarism screening).
Assign manuscripts to appropriate editors based on subject area.
Coordinate the peer review process by inviting and tracking reviewers.
Communicate professionally with authors, reviewers, and editors.

Preferred candidate profile

Masters in Bioscience, Life science or related field.
0-3 years of experience in academic editing, peer-review coordination, or editorial publishing.
Strong understanding of peer review systems and academic publication standards.
Excellent written and verbal communication.

Immediate joiners preferred.
