Job Summary

The Retail Salesperson is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and driving sales by engaging customers, answering product questions, and processing transactions accurately. This role requires a friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about the brand/products and committed to creating a positive shopping experience for every customer.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience & Sales

  • Greet and engage customers promptly and courteously upon entry to the store.
  • Identify customer needs and provide product information and recommendations to drive sales.
  • Demonstrate in-depth product knowledge across all items, including features, benefits, and current promotions.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues or complaints in a professional and timely manner, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Achieve individual and team sales goals and performance targets.

Store Operations & Merchandising

  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling cash, credit, and other forms of payment.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and organization, ensuring the sales floor is well-stocked, visually appealing, and reflects current merchandising standards.
  • Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new inventory shipments.
  • Execute visual merchandising updates and store promotions as directed by management.
  • Monitor fitting rooms and assist customers with sizing and selection.
  • Adhere to all company policies regarding loss prevention, safety, and operational procedures.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or Any Degree.
  • Proven experience in a customer service or retail environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic math and computer skills, with the ability to operate a POS system.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift moderate loads, and climb ladders.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a +1 Insert Specific Industry, e.g., apparel,retail setting.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • A strong passion for the products and a genuine interest in selling.
