Job Description

Operational and administrative duties

Manage daily operations
: Oversee all day-to-day activities to ensure the pharmacy runs smoothly.
Ensure compliance
: Make sure all practices, policies, and procedures meet state and federal laws and regulations.
Inventory management
: Monitor stock levels, order medications, ensure proper storage, and handle expired or damaged drugs.
Record keeping
: Maintain accurate patient and transaction records, including controlled substances and financial reports.
Maintain the pharmacy
: Ensure the physical environment is clean, safe, and professional.
Manage finances
: Oversee budgets, control costs, and work to achieve sales and profit goals.

Staff and patient-focused duties

Supervise staff:
Manage, train, and mentor pharmacists, technicians, and other support personnel.
Schedule staff:
Ensure the pharmacy is adequately staffed by managing schedules.
Patient care:
Dispense prescriptions accurately and provide clinical advice and counseling on medications.
Customer service:
Handle customer complaints, answer questions, and create a positive patient experience.
Health services:
Provide additional health services such as immunizations and health screenings.

Patient counseling:
