You will be joining a company that is dedicated to creating the world's leading platform experience for Co-Op and Collaborative Marketing. Our platform offers a comprehensive suite of Apps that cater to the Advertising, Marketing, and Demand Planning requirements of numerous Merchants and Sales Channel Partners in the Retail and Brand sectors. Despite being a $150+ Billion industry as of 2019, the co-op marketing world is plagued with outdated and inefficient processes. As the Head of Marketing (VP - Marketing), your role will be pivotal in driving our marketing initiatives and taking us to new heights. We are looking for a versatile individual who excels in product marketing, community building, data-driven strategies, and leadership, particularly in scaling high-growth enterprise SaaS businesses. Your responsibilities will encompass various key areas: Product Marketing & Positioning: - Develop innovative product marketing strategies to set our platform apart from competitors. - Lead messaging, positioning, and product launches to ensure our features resonate with the target audience. Content & Community Building: - Drive content marketing efforts such as whitepapers, blogs, webinars, and videos to engage our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). - Cultivate a vibrant community through activities like Ask Me Anything (AMAs), podcasts, and influencer partnerships to position us as thought leaders in Retail Media. Demand Generation & Campaigns: - Design and implement creative demand generation campaigns, events, and thought leadership initiatives to fuel growth. - Collaborate with Sales and Product teams to facilitate a seamless lead flow and achieve measurable demand outcomes. Sales Enablement: - Create effective sales tools and resources to educate internal and partner Sales teams on product value and market insights. - Support sales success by aligning marketing endeavors with business objectives. Competitive & Market Intelligence: - Gather intelligence on competitors and industry trends to refine marketing strategies and product positioning. - Utilize insights to enhance market differentiation and expedite growth. Client Councils & Evangelism: - Establish a Client and Influencer Advisory Council to encourage meaningful discussions and deepen engagement. - Serve as an advocate for our product by nurturing relationships with key clients and influencers. Team Leadership & Execution: - Lead and nurture a high-performing marketing team, fostering collaboration and hands-on execution of marketing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). - Implement data-driven marketing processes, monitor performance, and optimize initiatives for maximum impact. Strategic Planning & Budget Management: - Develop and oversee the overall marketing strategy aligned with company growth goals. - Efficiently manage the marketing budget, focusing on high-impact, ROI-driven activities. To excel in this role, you should possess: - Demonstrated success in scaling marketing efforts in B2B environments from early stages (Series B to Series D). - Proficiency in product marketing, content marketing, performance marketing, and community building. - Solid understanding of Retail Media, AdTech, or related industries. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to craft compelling messages. - Strong analytical, data-driven, and process-oriented mindset. - Experience in managing cross-functional teams and promoting a collaborative culture. - Familiarity with marketing technologies, CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo), and analytics platforms. - Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making capabilities. Role & responsibilities New Business Development: Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities with new endemic and non-endemic brands who are wanting to transform their brands in Retail Media Develop and execute strategic sales and account plans to penetrate target markets and acquire new clients. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at both retailer and advertiser levels. Understand competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends. Develop and present compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients. Negotiate and close deals that meet revenue and profitability targets. Client Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients. Proactively identify client needs and develop customized solutions to address those needs. Manage client expectations and ensure client satisfaction. Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., strategy, solutions, operations, creative & ) to ensure seamless campaign execution. Monitor campaign performance and provide regular client updates to delivery and operations teams Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and competitive developments in the Retail Media space. Share market insights and best practices with the wider team. Innovation & Product Development: Collaborate with tech / data / product and innovation teams to develop new and innovative Retail Media solutions. Provide valuable client feedback to inform product development and improvement. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Revenue targets: Achievement of individual revenue targets. New client acquisition: Number of new clients acquired every month quarter annually Client retention rate: Retention rate of existing clients. Customer satisfaction: Client satisfaction scores based on surveys and feedback. Market share: Growth of market share within the Retail Media space. Proposal win rate: Success rate of proposals presented to prospective clients. Required Skills & Experience: 2 – 5 years of experience in digital advertising, media sales, or a related field. Proven track record of success in exceeding sales targets and acquiring new business. Strong understanding of the Retail Media landscape, including key players, trends, and technologies. Deep understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, including programmatic, social, and search. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Strong negotiation and closing skills. Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. Strong leadership and mentorship skills (if applicable). Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation. Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
