Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, treating, and managing patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, evaluate, and treat patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions.
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, chest physiotherapy, and ventilator management.
• Perform diagnostic tests such as ABG analysis, pulmonary function tests (PFTs), and peak flow monitoring.
• Set up, operate, and monitor ventilators and other respiratory support equipment.
• Respond to emergency situations including code blue and rapid response calls.
• Monitor patient progress and maintain accurate documentation of treatments and outcomes.
• Educate patients and family members on respiratory therapies and home-care techniques.
• Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, and calibration of respiratory equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians to develop and modify treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Follow hospital policies, infection control standards, and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• B.Sc / M.Sc in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
• Valid registration/license as per local regulatory requirements (if applicable).
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a hospital/critical care setting preferred (Freshers can also apply if required).
• Strong knowledge of respiratory care procedures and equipment.
• Ability to handle critical situations and emergency care efficiently.
• Good communication, clinical judgment, and patient-care skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in ICU.
• Proficiency in ventilator management and ABG interpretation.
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
