Research Scientist

As a candidate for this position, you will be expected to have a PhD in the domain of energy management, especially for smart home and building environments. It is preferable to also have a master's degree in the same domain. Your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Thorough understanding of energy management systems such as demand-response based energy management, time-of-day based energy management, and energy profiling for smart home activities. - Sound mathematical modeling skills to model energy management scenarios effectively. - Proficiency in understanding energy consumption, storage, and production internals for smart devices like AC, HVAC, Solar Panel, Energy Storing Batteries, Smart Switch Panels, and Smart Plugs commonly used for energy management. - Deep understanding of natural human behaviors in relation to energy consumption, including factors like presence, indoor positioning, weather, comfort, and clothing. - Proficiency in ML/DL algorithms and their implementation in the domain of smart home/building energy management, as well as expertise in using related libraries such as Tensorflow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn in Python and R. - Good programming skills in the energy-specific domain are highly desirable. - Proven track record of research in the energy management domain is a must.
