Research Project Coordinator

As a highly motivated research project coordinator, you will be joining Dr. Angela de Bruin's research group in the Department of Psychology at the University of York. The project you will be working on is funded by the UKRI Frontier Research Guarantee Funding and focuses on understanding how bilingual language use and language control change with ageing, specifically in bilingual older adults with and without cognitive impairment. Your role will involve working part-time (22.2 hours per week) for 24 months, starting preferably in October or November 2025. Key Responsibilities: - Build connections with multilingual communities - Schedule appointments with potential participants - Facilitate participant testing - Assist in the preparation of study materials - Transcribe and translate research data - Work with older adults with and without mild cognitive impairment Qualifications Required: - Fluency in English, Pahari-Pothwari, and/or Punjabi/Panjabi - Knowledge and experience of working with multilingual communities - Experience in working with older adults, preferably in healthcare settings - Level 3 qualification - Ability to take responsibility for work initiatives, interpret and report information, communicate effectively in verbal and written formats, and utilize digital technology - Collaborative work skills to deliver quality service, develop self and others, and champion respect, inclusivity, equality, and diversity If you are interested in applying for this position, please reach out to Dr. Angela de Bruin at angela.debruin@york.ac.uk for any informal enquiries.
