Research Geology

As a Research Geologist at Teracore Mining Company, you will play a key role in advancing our exploration and resource evaluation programs, with a focus on iron ore, manganese, and bauxite deposits. You will conduct field and laboratory research to identify, characterise, and refine mineral prospects, support feasibility studies, and contribute to geological models that drive strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities :-

• Conduct geological fieldwork, including mapping, sampling, and core logging, to evaluate the mineral potential of iron ore, manganese, and bauxite deposits.
• Analyse rock, soil, and sediment data to assess mineralisation, lithology, and geological structures.
• Build, interpret, and update geological models using digital tools such as GIS and 3D modelling software.
• Collaborate with drilling, mining, and exploration teams to plan and interpret exploration campaigns.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, maps, and research documentation to support exploration targets and resource estimation.
• Evaluate geological and environmental risks and apply best practices for sustainable and responsible mining.
• Communicate research findings clearly to internal teams, management, and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications :-

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field (Master’s or PhD preferred).
• 0–6 years of experience in geological research, mineral exploration, or mining geology.
• Strong understanding of geological principles, mineral systems, and exploration techniques.
• Experience with field sampling, geological mapping, and core logging.
• Proficiency in geological and data analysis software (e.g., GIS, modelling platforms).

Preferred Attributes :-

• Experience working with iron ore, manganese, and/or bauxite projects.
• Knowledge of resource estimation and feasibility study methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in remote field locations and within multidisciplinary teams.

Work Environment & Travel :-

• Field-oriented role with regular travel to exploration and mining sites.
• Combination of office, laboratory, and outdoor fieldwork depending on project requirements.
• Strict adherence to safety, environmental, and ethical standards in all activities.
