You will be joining the Centre for Cancer Immunology at Southampton General Hospital, a prestigious research facility with a 40-year legacy in immunology and cancer research. The center, the first of its kind in the UK, is actively involved in a wide range of activities spanning from fundamental research to clinical trials, facilitated by cutting-edge infrastructure. - Collaborate on the research program led by Professors Ward and Ober, focusing on the advancement of innovative antibody-based therapeutics. - Utilize advanced microscopy techniques to assess the efficacy of novel therapeutics in cellular settings. - Contribute to projects supported by renowned institutions such as the Wellcome Trust and Cancer Research UK, as well as collaborate with biopharma companies. - Display a strong drive to comprehend biological processes and engineer antibodies for the treatment of cancer and autoimmune disorders. - Engage in cellular techniques relevant to immunology and antibodies, including flow cytometry and fluorescence microscopy. - Conduct in vitro cellular assays and engage in research using mouse disease models to drive scientific objectives. - Scientific expertise at a PhD level, complemented by appropriate academic credentials and practical experience. - Proficiency in cellular techniques associated with immunology and antibodies. - Previous exposure to flow cytometry, fluorescence microscopy, in vitro cellular assays, and mouse disease models would be advantageous. - Proficient IT skills are crucial for data analysis and effective communication.
