Job Description

You will be joining the Centre for Cancer Immunology at Southampton General Hospital, a distinguished research facility with a 40-year legacy in immunology and cancer research. The center, the first of its kind in the UK, is involved in a wide range of activities from fundamental research to clinical trials, equipped with cutting-edge facilities. - Collaborate on the research program of Professors Ward and Ober, focusing on the development of innovative antibody-based therapeutics. - Utilize advanced microscopy techniques to evaluate new therapeutics in cellular environments. - Contribute to projects funded by prestigious organizations like the Wellcome Trust and Cancer Research UK, as well as partnerships with biopharma companies. - Demonstrate a high level of motivation in understanding biological processes and engineering antibodies for cancer and autoimmune diseases. - Conduct cellular techniques related to immunology and antibodies, including flow cytometry and fluorescence microscopy. - Perform in vitro cellular assays and work with mouse disease models to advance research goals. - Scientific knowledge at a PhD level with relevant academic qualifications and work experience. - Proficient in cellular techniques related to immunology and antibodies. - Experience in flow cytometry, fluorescence microscopy, in vitro cellular assays, and mouse disease models is beneficial. - Strong IT skills are essential for data analysis and communication purposes.
