Research Engineer Intern Sonar & Sensor Fusion

Role Overview: As a Research Intern at our company, you will play a crucial role in the development and optimization of perception systems for robotic applications in challenging environments such as underwater, confined spaces, or industrial sites. Your primary focus will be on sonar systems and sensor fusion, contributing to the advancement of technology in this field. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the design and development of sonar-based perception modules. - Develop and optimize sensor fusion algorithms by combining sonar, IMU, LIDAR, or other relevant data sources. - Support data collection, annotation, and analysis to evaluate sensor performance and fusion accuracy. - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams comprising software, hardware, and mechanical engineers. - Effectively document research findings, prototypes, and experimental results for future reference and knowledge sharing. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Additional Details: This is an unpaid internship opportunity based in Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram. Familiarity with ROS (Robot Operating System) is considered a plus for this position.
