Research counselor

As a Research Counselor, you will be responsible for assisting students or clients in identifying academic or professional research opportunities, providing guidance on research methods and resources, and supporting individuals in achieving their educational or career research goals. Your key responsibilities will include identifying and approaching potential customers through cold calls, emails, or direct visits, closing sales deals to achieve monthly/quarterly targets, maintaining records of sales, revenue, and customer interactions, collaborating with the sales team to achieve collective goals, and staying up to date with market trends and competitor activities. Moreover, you will guide students or professionals in selecting suitable research topics or academic programs, advise on research design, methodology, and ethical standards, help individuals understand academic or institutional research requirements, and support clients in applying for research programs, grants, or scholarships. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related field. Additionally, strong communication and interpersonal skills, a basic understanding of research processes and methodologies, and experience in academic advising, career counseling, or educational consultancy are preferred. You must also demonstrate the ability to handle confidential information sensitively. Preferred skills for this position include an empathetic and student-focused approach, being organized and detail-oriented, possessing problem-solving and motivational skills, and having familiarity with academic databases and research tools.
