Research Associate

As a personnel handling the profile at Syngene, you will be responsible for performing reactions as per project requirements and documenting observations in relevant notebooks. You will follow instructions from the supervisor and work either in a group or individually to complete tasks efficiently. Key Responsibilities: - Perform synthetic chemistry reactions, workups, purification of compounds, crystallization, preparative TLC, and operate lab equipment - Submit samples for analysis, record results, update supervisor on progress, and pack samples for shipment - Record experiment/reaction observations, results, resource utilization, and activities in the laboratory notebook following guidelines - Ensure instrument/equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, cleanliness, and report breakdowns to maintenance - Be aware of MSDS of chemicals, emergency response procedures, and waste segregation as per EHS norms - Follow EHS and quality system requirements, attend mandatory trainings, and ensure confidentiality Qualifications Required: - Experience: 0-3 years - Skills: Familiarity with chemical synthesis concepts and operation of relevant apparatus/instrument/equipment - Education: M.Sc In addition to the job responsibilities and qualifications mentioned, Syngene values excellence, integrity, and professionalism.
