Role Overview: As an R&D Assistant at Trizaa, you will play a crucial role in supporting the research and development team in formulating, testing, and refining skincare products. Your passion for skincare innovation and ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment will be key to your success in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in developing and testing skincare formulations (e.g., creams, serums, cleansers) under the guidance of senior formulators. - Conduct stability, compatibility, and performance tests on product prototypes; monitor and record results. - Collect and analyze data from experiments, including pH, viscosity, and sensory evaluations; prepare reports to summarize findings. - Research and evaluate new ingredients, active compounds, and sustainable raw materials for potential use in formulations. - Maintain laboratory equipment, ensure proper calibration, and manage inventory of ingredients and supplies. - Assist in documenting formulations and processes to meet regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, EU Cosmetics Regulation) and ensure product safety. - Work closely with product development, quality assurance, and marketing teams to align formulations with brand goals and consumer expectations. - Maintain accurate records of formulations, experimental procedures, and test results in compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). - Stay updated on skincare trends, consumer preferences, and advancements in cosmetic chemistry through literature reviews and industry resources. Qualification Required: - Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. - 0-2 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in skincare or cosmetics; internships or academic research in formulation is a plus. - Familiarity with laboratory techniques (e.g., emulsification, pH testing, viscosity measurement); proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools; basic knowledge of cosmetic ingredients and formulation processes. - Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive; strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment. - Passion for skincare and sustainability; willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques.
