Research Analyst / Senior Research Analyst for Buyside Credit Research

You are invited to join our team as a Research Analyst / Senior Research Analyst to contribute towards supporting our global buy-side credit research team. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing timely earnings write-ups for the assigned portfolio, crafting credit memos, and updating financial models. The ideal candidate for this role possesses a strong understanding of financial analysis and risk assessment. Your key roles and responsibilities will involve supporting a global buy-side credit research team, preparing concise earnings notes for the assigned coverage within tight deadlines, analyzing quarterly and annual earnings releases, assessing capital structure and covenant compliance, conducting regular surveillance of the assigned portfolio, preparing and updating credit memos, building and updating financial models, developing an understanding of relevant operating and financial metrics for new sectors, engaging with client teams, and maintaining consistent standards and processes in credit analysis. To excel in this role, you should have a strong understanding of credit principles, credit review and appraisal, credit rating, report writing, capital structure, and ratio analysis. Experience across multiple industries/sectors like corporates and banks will be advantageous. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for effectively communicating with clients. The ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, think and work independently are also key attributes for this position. A minimum educational requirement for this role includes an MBA in Finance from a reputed institute, CA, or CFA certification. Progress towards CFA (US) would be preferred. The ideal candidate should have prior experience of 2-5 years in credit research/analysis. This position is based in Mumbai / Pune.
