Research Analyst Sector Agnostic

The ideal candidate will be responsible for turning data into actionable insights by recognizing trends and anomalies in multivariate datasets. In order to use these insights for business improvement, you should feel comfortable using your analysis to tell a story. You will be working as a Research Analyst in the Equity Research / Investment Research department, reporting to the CIO. Based in BKC, Mumbai, your primary role will involve covering the Indian equity markets. Your responsibilities will include conducting fundamental research on companies across diverse sectors, building and maintaining detailed financial models, tracking macroeconomic trends and sectoral developments, and preparing research reports and investment notes with actionable insights. To excel in this role, you should possess an MBA (Finance), CFA, CA, or Masters in Finance/Economics, along with 4-8 years of experience in equity research, investment research, or financial analysis. A strong understanding of Indian capital markets, SEBI regulations, and listed companies is essential. Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques (such as DCF and relative valuation), and Excel is required. Working knowledge of Bloomberg, Reuters, Capital IQ, or similar databases is preferred. Your ability to collaborate with fund managers and investment teams, maintain relationships with industry experts, company management, and sell-side analysts, and work independently across multiple sectors will be crucial for success in this role. Excellent analytical, writing, and presentation skills are also key attributes that you should possess to thrive as a Sector-Agnostic Research Analyst in this dynamic environment.,
