Research Analyst

As a part of the team at India's next-generation carbon market institution, you will be involved in various exciting tasks to contribute to the rapidly growing global carbon credits and climate finance sector. Your role includes: - Conducting in-depth research on carbon markets, global standards, methodologies, and climate policies. - Studying Verra, Gold Standard, CDM methodologies, and preparing simplified internal notes. - Creating market reports, summaries, and presentations for management. - Tracking global trends in carbon pricing, voluntary markets, and compliance markets. - Assisting in developing carbon project documentation. - Managing communication with carbon registries, consultants, and project developers. - Maintaining a structured knowledge database for the organization. To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills: - Strong research skills. - Excellent English reading & writing ability. - Ability to understand complex topics and simplify them. - Comfortable with reading long technical documents. - Proficient in Google Docs/Sheets. - Highly curious, disciplined, and eager to learn. While prior experience in the carbon market is not mandatory, preferred backgrounds for this role include: - BBA / BCom / BA in Economics. - BSc in Environmental Science. - Any research or analyst background. - Internships in sustainability, consulting, or policy are a plus. This is a full-time, permanent position suitable for fresher candidates with a Bachelor's degree preferred. Research experience of at least 1 year is advantageous.
