Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Supervise daily tool room operations (machining, fitting, assembly, repair).
Plan and allocate work to machinists, toolmakers, CNC operators, and fitters.
Ensure dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures are manufactured as per drawings and tolerances.
Monitor CNC, VMC, EDM, Wire-cut, lathe, milling, and grinding operations.
Coordinate die trials, modifications, and troubleshooting.
Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance of tools and machines.
Maintain quality standards and ensure inspection compliance.
Control tool room documentation (drawings, revisions, process sheets).
Manage raw materials, consumables, and tool inventory.
Ensure safety practices and 5S/Lean implementation in the tool room.
Coordinate with Production, Quality, Design, and Maintenance departments.
Train and guide junior technicians and apprentices.
