Job Description : We are seeking a highly skilled PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of hands-on experience managing PostgreSQL databases in production environments. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, monitoring, performance tuning, backup, and security of PostgreSQL database systems to ensure high availability, reliability, and optimal performance. Key Responsibilities : - Database Administration : Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL database servers in development, testing, and production environments. - Performance Tuning & Optimization : Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement tuning strategies to optimize performance. - Backup & Recovery : Implement and manage robust backup and disaster recovery solutions, including point-in-time recovery (PITR). - High Availability & Replication : Set up and manage replication, failover, and high-availability solutions such as streaming replication, Patroni, etc. - Security & Compliance : Ensure database security through access controls, encryption, auditing, and compliance with data protection regulations. - Monitoring & Alerts : Implement monitoring tools and alerting mechanisms to proactively manage database health and availability. - Upgrades & Patching : Plan and execute version upgrades, patching, and maintenance with minimal downtime. - Troubleshooting & Support : Provide expert-level support and troubleshoot database-related issues across environments. - Documentation : Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, procedures, and policies. - Collaboration : Work closely with DevOps, developers, and IT teams to support application requirements and deployment needs.
