Job Responsibilities for Storekeeper: · Manage the inventory of all spare parts, components, tools, and consumables specifically required for hydraulic core drilling rigs. · Implement and maintain an effective storage system, ensuring optimal organization, easy retrieval, and space utilization, potentially aligning with ABC analysis principles. · Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile them with system records, proactively identifying and resolving any discrepancies. · Monitor stock levels, identify reorder points for critical items, and initiate purchase requisitions in a timely manner to prevent stockouts and minimize equipment downtime. · Accurately receive, inspect, and verify incoming deliveries of spares and materials against purchase orders, ensuring quality, quantity, and proper documentation. · Issue parts, tools, and consumables to our in-house mechanics and machine shop operators based on approved requisitions for repair and reconditioning jobs. · Maintain precise records of all stock movements, including goods received notes (GRN) and material requisition notes (MRN). · Maintain comprehensive and accurate digital and physical records of all inventory transactions. · Generate regular reports on stock levels, consumption patterns, and discrepancies to support decision-making and efficient procurement. · Ensure the store area is consistently clean, organized, and adheres to all safety regulations and guidelines for material handling and storage. Experience & Education: Minimum of 2 to 4 years of proven experience as a Storekeeper, specifically within a plant, machinery, or heavy equipment workshop environment. Demonstrated experience in managing inventory for the repair and reconditioning of industrial equipment, ideally including drilling rigs, pumps, or generators. Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering, Material Management, or a related field is preferred. Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills Root cause analysis of failures for core drilling rigs, pumps, generators.
