Job Description

As a Release Management QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of software releases across various environments. Your attention to detail and collaborative approach will be key to success in this position. Here is a breakdown of what is expected from you: Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with product, engineering, and release teams to define test scope for global releases across core platforms. - Validate builds in sandbox, staging, and production-like environments, ensuring data consistency and deployment integrity. - Participate in release readiness reviews, change impact analysis, and CAB meetings. - Conduct post-release sanity checks and support defect triage with engineering and support teams. - Log, track, and retest defects using internal tools and JIRA. - Collaborate with performance QA engineers to validate system responsiveness under peak load conditions. - Ensure traceability between business requirements, test cases, and production defects. - Contribute to continuous improvement by analyzing defect leakage, test gaps, and automation ROI. Functional Requirements: - Deep understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes in a regulated fintech environment. - Experience testing high-volume, multi-tenant systems with real-time transaction processing. - Familiarity with GDPR, and other compliance frameworks impacting QA. - Exposure to Agile/Scrum and CI/CD pipelines in a global release model. - Experience with exploratory testing and edge-case identification in financial systems. Required Skills and Qualifications: - Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, software testing, or a related role within a software development environment. - Proven experience with manual and automated testing tools and techniques. - Familiarity with release management, version control systems (Git, SVN), and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI). - Technical Skills: Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). - Proficiency in test management and bug tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla). - Basic knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline. - Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or ITIL Foundation. - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).,
