Release Engineer - Intermediate

As a Release Engineer - Intermediate at Gentrack, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between development and platform operations. Your primary responsibility will be to enable continuous integration, deployment, and automation across our development and production environments. This includes working on development and configuration-related tasks, enhancing processes, automating activities, and ensuring the scalability and reliability of our systems. You will work closely with software developers, platforms, testers, and other IT teams to manage code releases effectively. Your focus will be on implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines to streamline the release process. Additionally, you will be involved in development tasks and collaborate with various teams to drive successful releases. We are looking for a candidate with 4 to 6 years of experience, including at least 2 years of hands-on experience in Release Engineering, DevOps, system administration, or software development. Proficiency in cloud platforms, especially AWS (EC2, S3), is essential. You should have a strong understanding of version control systems like Git and branching strategies. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins is also required. It would be beneficial if you have experience with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation, as well as containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
