Release Engineer

As a DevSecOps/Release Engineer at Aviato Consulting, you will be instrumental in embedding security throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for a transformative project. You'll focus on building secure and efficient CI/CD pipelines, implementing security controls, and fostering a security-first mindset within the development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage build pipelines to ensure efficient and secure software releases.
• Implement configuration as code to automate and standardize infrastructure management.
• Use Helm to manage Kubernetes applications and Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
• Automate workflows and processes using GitHub Actions.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
• Manage and optimize Jira for issue tracking and project management.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices throughout the release process.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to build pipelines and deployments.
• Document processes, systems, and best practices.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven 5+ years experience as a Release Engineer, DevSecOps Engineer, or similar role.
• Proficiency with build pipelines and CI/CD tools.
• Strong knowledge of configuration as code practices.
• Experience with Helm and Terraform.
• Proficiency with Jira and GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes (K8s) is an advantage.
• Experience working in finance (banking or insurance) or government sectors is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with other DevOps tools and practices.
• Knowledge of security best practices in DevOps.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. GCP, Azure).
