Title: Global Foods Procurement Manager Function: Procurement Location: Mumbai HO Req ID: R-1164365 Main Job Purpose: The key contribution of BG Procurement (previously called Division/Category Procurement) is the BG Integration. You are the voice of Procurement to the partnering functions (Brands, SC, R&D), ensuring procurement representation in the strategic BG agenda and the voice of the BG within Procurement, translating Foods needs into procurement strategy across the totality of our agenda - Buy Better (financials), Buy responsibly (climate & nature agenda), Grow together (innovation & partnerships). You are in the great position of being able to see both sides and develop strong business acumen. Key Accountabilities: Buy Better: - Support the BG profitability ambitions through enabling the delivery of the procurement financial targets through strong collaboration and alignment with R&D and SC. - Support portfolios landing their NMI targets in-year and also the key initiatives highlighted in their longer term strategic plans. - Influence building a healthy smart product plan funnel for long term value creation agenda - Forecasting : Support for quarterly forecasting cycles to ensure smooth execution of Foods Forecasting cycle - Be the procurement lead on senior BG Forums Buy responsibly: - Be the lead of the Foods Sustainable Sourcing, Regenerative Agriculture and Higher Animal Welfare agenda. - Climate agenda : Support climate agenda with the being the face of BG procurement, and driving progress across key pillars - Drive sustainable packaging roadmaps and PCR availability for Foods. Support the packaging strategy creation and execution - Bring external-in: follow up continuously where the industry players are doing in this space Grow together: - Partnership agenda : Support BG and procurement ambitions for step up in partnerships to leverage partnership agenda for superior growth ambitions, led by partner driven innovations - Pricing and Profitability considerations : Support BG leadership with right pricing considerations basis material inflation and savings plan, along with key enablers to demonstrate competitive advantage - Translate Foods innovation strategy and plans to procurement actions and engage on the job to be done with portfolio and market teams. - Provide insights (pricing, risk assessment, capacity etc.) to BG innovation. - Play leadership role in enabling the BIG BETS for Foods procurement, and driving the transformation agenda Talent management: Develop Key talent in the procurement function through landing transformation, sharing best practices and bringing insights from the external world. The Director of Commercialization - Plantations role involves overseeing and driving the expansion and management of plantations to secure a sustainable and scalable supply of raw materials for the company's ingredients. You will be responsible for various aspects of plantation development, from site selection and planting to harvest and logistics. Working closely with farmers, landowners, and internal teams, you will focus on optimizing agricultural practices, maximizing yields, and ensuring the long-term viability of the supply chain. Your key responsibilities will include identifying and assessing potential land for new plantations, managing the planning, planting, and maintenance of trees, implementing sustainable agricultural practices to enhance tree health and productivity, and collaborating with local communities and stakeholders to ensure responsible land use. Additionally, you will be involved in overseeing the harvest and transportation of beans from plantations to processing facilities, developing efficient logistics systems for the delivery of raw materials, and monitoring and optimizing the entire plantation-to-processing supply chain. Building and nurturing strong relationships with farmers and landowners participating in the plantation program will be crucial. Providing technical support and guidance on plant cultivation, negotiating and managing land lease agreements, and implementing strategies to maximize plant yields and enhance overall plantation productivity will also be part of your responsibilities. You will be expected to track and analyze costs associated with various aspects of plantation development and operations, manage budgets effectively, and stay updated on the latest research and best practices in tree cultivation. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry, or a related field (a Master's degree is preferred) and have over 10 years of experience in agricultural operations, plantation management, or a similar role. Strong knowledge of sustainable agricultural practices, crop production, experience with tree crops or other legumes, and proven abilities in managing large-scale agricultural projects are essential. Excellent communication, negotiation, relationship-building, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required. The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team, coupled with a passion for sustainability and the company's mission, will be key to success in this role.,

You should have 8-10 years of experience and a B.Sc./M.Sc. (Agri) or equivalent education with proven experience in certifications. Experience working in a commercial organization of scale and in the field of organic certifications with different agencies is required. Your key responsibilities will include spearheading and delivering end-to-end organic certification requirements of the company, collaborating closely with agriculture, processing, and finished goods teams. You will interact with regulatory agencies, respond to inquiries and submissions, and represent the company during inspections and audits. Experience in implementing Quality Management System (QMS), Vendor due diligence, strengthening contract manufacturing units, and ensuring robust compliance measures is essential. You will lead the process for obtaining and renewing certifications as per NPOP, NOP, and EU standards. Additionally, you will require certifications such as FFL, Regenerative agriculture, GAP, GFCP, etc. for farming on organic lands.
