Job Description

Receiving and Unloading: Receive and unload incoming shipments, such as deliveries from trucks, using equipment like forklifts or hand trucks.
Verification: Compare packed lists, invoices, and delivery slips against purchase orders to confirm the accuracy and completeness of the items received.
Inspection: Inspect delivered items for any signs of damage, defects, or discrepancies from the order specifications.
Documentation: Record the receipt of goods, update inventory databases with stock levels, and process all required paperwork in a timely manner.
Discrepancy Reporting: Report any damages, shortages, or incorrect items to the appropriate parties, such as supervisors or suppliers.
