Rec & Proofing Analyst 1

As a candidate for the Reconciliation and Proofing role in Operations - Transaction Services at Citigroup, your role will involve the following responsibilities: - Daily reconciliation of general ledger balances to the sub-ledger - Preparation of reconciliation package - Identification and clearing of accounting exceptions and mismatched items - Analysis of reoccurring issues and assisting in developing process improvements - Monitoring the status of aged breaks on balance sheet accounts - Exercising sound judgement regarding the proper application of accounting principles to reconciliations - Effective communication with team members, management, and business partners - Responding to Balance Sheet Substantiation team requests for information - Ensuring financial reporting deadlines are met - Participating in and/or leading projects as assigned To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: - Exposure to reconciliation-based applications such as TLM, Recon Portal, etc. will be an added advantage - Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of MS Excel - Strong team player - Strong analytical skills - Good written and oral communication skills Additionally, the educational requirement for this position is a Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience.
