React Native Lead

Job description

• Hands-on development of user-focused, high-quality mobile applications; advocating for clean code, testing, process refinements, and continuous improvements
• Leverage advanced TypeScript/JavaScript frameworks with a focus on React Native (Expo, Reanimated, Zustand, Redux, etc.) to deliver polished mobile experiences for iOS and Android
• Work on all aspects of mobile products, including implementing UI/UX designs, animations/motion, business logic, backend API integrations, analytics, push notifications, deep linking, performance, and security
• Implement pixel-perfect UI/UX designs, maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail
• Optimize mobile applications for performance, scalability, accessibility, and offline-first experiences, ensuring a seamless user experience across a wide range of devices
• Define, validate, implement, and test your approach to building scalable and performant mobile software
• Collaborate closely with our design and product teams to identify and implement innovative technology solutions that enhance customer experiences and drive engagement
• Develop and maintain reusable React Native components and shared libraries to maximize development efficiency across projects
• Be proactive and results-oriented with a strong desire to learn and grow
• Act as a product evangelist with a deep curiosity about mobile and emerging technology trends
• Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner within project constraints
• Cultivate a collaborative working environment and a culture of technical ownership

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience building mobile applications, with at least 3 years of strong React Native experience
• Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), and React Native ecosystem tools (Metro bundler, Expo, React Navigation, etc.)
• Proven record of building and shipping cross-platform mobile apps (iOS & Android) with strong attention to scalability, performance, and accessibility
• Experience in building reusable mobile components and libraries
• Ability to ensure pixel-perfect UI/UX implementation from Figma or similar design tools
• Strong understanding of React Native animations (Reanimated, Lottie) and responsive layouts
• Experience with API integrations including REST and GraphQL
• Familiarity with native modules (iOS/Android bridging) and when to leverage them
• Experience with offline storage solutions (SQLite, AsyncStorage, MMKV, Realm, etc.)
• Knowledge of app store submission, code signing, and deployment processes (App Store, Google Play)
• Familiarity with CI/CD for mobile apps (Bitrise, Fastlane, GitHub Actions)
• Experience collaborating effectively within an agile development environment
• Solid foundation in mobile performance tuning, memory optimization, and debugging
• Able to mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical decision-making
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience with native Android (Kotlin) or iOS (Swift) development
• Familiarity with mobile analytics, crash reporting, and monitoring tools (Firebase, Sentry, Amplitude)
• Experience with cloud backends and mobile services (AWS Amplify, Firebase, Supabase)
• Exposure to mobile security best practices (secure storage, encryption, authentication flows)
• Knowledge of wearables, AR/VR, or IoT integrations with mobile apps
• Experience with machine learning on-device frameworks (CoreML, TensorFlow Lite, PyTorch Mobile)
• Prior contributions to open-source React Native libraries
