R&D Senior Software Engineer

As a Software Development Engineer at Hitachi Energy in Bangalore, IN, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, reviewing, re-factoring, and maintaining software with a focus on quality and performance. Qualifications Required: - Masters degree or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields. - Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, debugging, and performance tuning. - Proficiency/experience in programming languages like C#, C/C++, MATLAB, Java, Python, FORTRAN. - Experience with Linux and Windows development environments. - Strong theoretical background in Numerical Analysis Methods, Optimization Techniques, and Power System Modeling and Operation. - Experience in model prototyping through optimization toolkits or machine learning/AI packages or BI tools. - Hands-on experience with Energy Management System (EMS) Applications is desirable. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively. - Strong knowledge and experience in power system modeling, simulation, analysis, and operation. - Familiarity with analytical tools like Load Flow, Contingency Analysis, State Estimation, AGC, Economic Dispatch, and Power Systems Simulators. - Proficiency in both spoken & written English language.
