R&D Engineer - Dielectric Simulation

Role Overview: You will have the opportunity to contribute your own ideas to identify, propose, and implement innovative technology development and solutions while independently solving industrial problems. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct feasibility studies, propose and develop new technical concepts, design new products, and simulate their expected performance within the dielectrics field. - Provide technical support to factories during different stages of customer project execution, such as design clarification, simulation, dielectric, and insulation design. - Lead the implementation of new functionality in transformer insulation design tools, including creating technical requirements, supporting software developers in implementation, and testing the quality of the solutions. - Formulate clear conclusions and practical recommendations for the business, transfer knowledge and findings through reports, specifications, and educational programs. - Develop, manage, and expand relationships with stakeholders, internal functions, Corporate Research Centers, and external relevant parties, providing proposals for possible partnerships. - Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines, while embodying Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity. Qualifications Required: - B. Tech, BE, ME, M.Tech, MS, or PhD Engineer in EEE, High Voltage Engineering, or Power System Engineering. - 4 to 10 years of proven experience using simulation tools such as Ansys, Elecnet, COMSOL, with experience in designing and FEM based simulations preferred. - Expertise in characterizing and modeling dielectric properties of various materials, including permittivity, permeability, and loss tangent. - Deep understanding of insulation design and knowledge of CAD modeling software (CREO). - Excellent teamwork abilities in international teams with strong interpersonal skills, solid technical proficiency, and understanding of standard body of knowledge in the relevant technical field. - Experience with project management tools and models, both Agile and traditional, with a willingness to work in remote and diverse environments. - Proficiency in both verbal and written communication skills in English.
