As an R&D Engineer - Alternative Insulating Fluids for the Transformers Business at Hitachi Energy in Vadodara, India, your role involves contributing to innovative technology development and solutions. You will be responsible for identifying and classifying potential alternative insulating fluids, defining requirements for designing and operating transformers, and qualifying test methods for fluids. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with various departments, suppliers, and factories to ensure the successful implementation of new fluids and improvements in standards and specifications. Your key responsibilities include: - Identification and classification of potential alternative insulating fluids. - Definition of requirements for fluids in transformer design and operation. - Documentation and execution of fluids qualification test methods. - Collaboration with material laboratories, supply chain, OpeX, and engineering teams. - Cooperation with transformer materials and components suppliers. - Verification of existing production equipment for new fluids. - Participation in pilot projects with factories. - Improvements in technical, production standards, and material specifications. - Exploration and enhancement of risk assessment methodology for new fluids. - Participation in engineering networks to enhance expertise and visibility. - Engagement in intellectual property discussions and risk identification in R&D projects. Your background should include: - A Master's degree in Materials Engineering. - Minimum 5 years of R&D experience with liquid insulating materials. - Strong technical proficiency and understanding of the relevant technical field. - Experience in the transformer industry and material chemical analysis. - Familiarity with OpeX perfections and project management. - Willingness to work in remote and diverse environments. - Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
