Job Description

As an R&D Data Analyst at our company, your primary focus will be on developing strategic insights and providing smart analytics to support R&D priorities. You will be responsible for connecting data across multiple sources, developing insights related to portfolio analysis, and creating accurate visualizations for generating valuable insights. Your role will involve collaborating with the finance team, establishing quality control checks, reviewing portfolio reports, generating new report requirements, and sharing insights within the R&D team. Your key responsibilities will include: - Executing against the team charter (SLA) for Reporting & Analytics - Creating, maintaining, and upgrading Excel utility tools using VB/macros and complex formulas - Performing portfolio level reporting of R&D spend (people & projects) through dashboards, templated decks, and reporting tools - Providing business performance explanations beyond data, incorporating other considerations into reporting - Explaining business performance, drivers, and optimization opportunities - Responding to ad-hoc queries with tables, charts, and stories using relevant data - Supporting Reporting Lead/Senior Managers/Managers in meeting information needs of Business Partners - Managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and deliverables effectively - Monitoring and acting upon feedback from end-users and Business Partners - Maintaining data integrity across various platforms like Excel, Clarity, and Anaplan - Supporting data load preparation on a period basis and ensuring data accuracy post data loads - Coordinating with the Power BI reporting team for the latest data updates - Soliciting new reporting requirements with the R&D team and sharing insights with them - Supporting SSC strategy delivery and efforts to establish an Insights sub-team within the service center - Supporting simplification, standardization, and digitalization efforts in coordination with global R&D stakeholders Qualifications required for this role: - Junior/mid-level Insight or Analytics professional with 6+ years of experience in a consumer goods company - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Economics, Math, Data Science, or Management - Fluent in English - Track record of identifying and implementing new processes for fact-based decision making - Excellent technical skills for data processing, analysis, and visualization - Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, including macro writing and complex formulas - Working knowledge of SQL languages such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc. - Experience with data visualization tools, preferably Power BI - Strong stakeholder management skills - Solution-oriented approach to problem-solving - Ability to identify efficiencies and improve processes and deliverables - Expertise in financial modeling, economic analysis, and creative problem-solving - Ability to work independently with excellent written and oral communication skills - Collaborative approach in connecting with cross-functional partners in PepsiCo Global R&D to gather relevant data and insights,
