Job Title: Warehouse In-Charge Agricultural Commodities Location: [Specify Location] Reports To: Warehouse Manager / Supply Chain Head Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse In-Charge to oversee the efficient storage, handling, and distribution of agricultural commodities, specifically maize, rice, and wheat. This role requires specialized knowledge in managing inventory and procurement processes for these grains, ensuring compliance with quality standards and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations Management Supervise daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of maize, rice, and wheat. Implement and maintain an organized layout to optimize space utilization and facilitate easy access to inventory. Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and security standards in the warehouse environment. Oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment and infrastructure. Inventory Control and Stock Management Maintain accurate records of stock levels, ensuring real-time tracking of maize, rice, and wheat inventories. Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile physical stock with system records. Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) or FEFO (First Expired, First Out) principles to manage inventory effectively. Monitor stock levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts, coordinating with procurement teams as needed. Procurement Coordination Collaborate with procurement teams to forecast demand and plan for timely procurement of maize, rice, and wheat. Manage relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and quality compliance. Negotiate terms and prices with suppliers to secure cost-effective deals. Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements. Quality Assurance and Compliance Oversee quality control processes to ensure that maize, rice, and wheat meet required standards. Coordinate with quality assurance teams for regular inspections and testing of grains. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and industry standards. Team Leadership and Training Lead and supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations. Conduct training sessions on warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards. Evaluate team performance and implement improvement plans as necessary. Reporting and Documentation Maintain accurate records of all warehouse activities, including receipts, dispatches, and stock levels. Prepare regular reports on inventory status, procurement activities, and operational performance. Ensure documentation is readily available for audits and inspections.
