Job Description

As an RM Source Development Engineer, your role involves the following responsibilities: - Developing RM sources for new and existing models and monitoring their performance. - Localizing new steel grades for upcoming models to enhance product quality. - Coordinating with internal customers, vendors, and steel mills to resolve any issues efficiently. - Facilitating smooth trials for new and existing models through effective coordination. - Conducting formability trials of in-house press parts for alternate source development. - Collaborating with Steel Mills, SC team, and Shop to address steel-related defects. - Initiating cost-saving activities such as yield improvement and reusing raw materials. - Specializing in the development of high-strength steels like HSS, UHSS, BH, GA grades. - Finalizing RM sources and ensuring the supply for new models. - Designing, developing, and conducting CAE for pallets used in storing in-house press parts. - Ensuring the timely supply of pallets as per the New Model Schedule. - Planning and executing the shifting of models (press facility) between plants following the guidelines.
