Radiology Medical Coder

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Coding, Radiology Coder to join our team . The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in medical coding with a focus on radiology, ensuring accurate coding for diagnostic imaging services.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze medical records and documentation to ensure accurate coding for radiology services.
• Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for diagnoses and procedures in accordance with coding guidelines.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify any discrepancies in documentation and coding.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding regulations, guidelines, and payer-specific requirements.
• Perform quality checks and audits on coded data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Assist in the training of new coding staff and provide support as needed.

Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience in medical coding, specifically in radiology (1-3 years).
• Strong understanding of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology related to radiology.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with healthcare providers and other staff.
